Police: Man Charged with Public Lewdness at Teatown

The Irvington man allegedly exposed himself to a woman who was walking on a nature trail on Wednesday.

A 43-year-old Irvington man has been charged with public lewdness after he allegedly exposed himself to a woman, who was walking on a nature trail at Teatown Lake Reservation, said.

The defendant, Patrick Toomy, turned himself over to police on Thursday. He was arrested and charged with public lewdness, a misdemeanor. 

Police began the investigation when a woman reported a man had allegedly exposed himself to her while she was walking on a nature trail at Teatown Lake Reservation on Wednesday. The woman told police she was approached by a man who allegedly had his penis exposed and was holding it.

The man had left the area, but a vehicle description was obtained and police identified the man to be Patrick Toomy. 

Toomy was issued an order of protection for the victim and he was then released. The man was scheduled to appear in on Sept. 18.
