Police: Man Strikes Telephone Pole, Accused of Driving Drunk

The following information was provided by the Yorktown police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 31-year-old Croton man faces drunken driving charges after his vehicle struck a telephone pole in Yorktown, said. 

Patrick Begin was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor; and the traffic infraction of failure to keep right. 

Police began an investigation when they were dispatched to an auto accident on Croton Lake Road (Route 129) on June 15 at about 2:56 a.m. The defendant was allegedly drunk when he struck the pole.

Begin was processed at police headquarters and later released to a third party. He was scheduled to appear in on July 17.
