Police: Shrub Oak Teen Runs from Cop When Caught with 25 Grams of Pot

An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Peekskill police officers found 17-year-old Shrub Oak resident Sean DeLeon to be in possession of more than 25 grams of marijuana and a small quantity of ecstasy when they stopped him for a minor traffic infraction on Aug. 25 at 10:15 p.m. on Orchard Street.

When officers attempted to take him into custody, he fled but was captured after a brief foot chase. $890 found on the suspect was seized for possible forfeiture.

The teen was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration, all misdemeanors, as well as Criminal possession of marijuana. He was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court without bail.
