Police: Yorktown Teen Distracts Store Clerk, Friend Steals Beer

A 19-year-old Yorktown man has been arrested for helping another person steal two cases of beer from a local gas station, Yorktown police said. 

Police said Brandon R. Gladman intentionally distracted a store clerk on Sept. 21 while another person removed two cases of Budweiser beer from a store display and exited the store without paying for the items. The beer had a value of $25.98.

Police issued an arrest warrant for Gladman after they were unable to locate him. On Thursday, Oct. 25 at around 4:47 a.m. a police officer stopped a vehicle, in which Gladman was a passenger, as part of an unrelated incident.

The teen was then arrested and charged with two counts of petty larceny, misdemeanors. He was arraigned at Yorktown Town Court.
