Putnam County Man Drives With Suspended License: PD

Police said the man had had his driver's license suspended four times on four different dates.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Putnam Valley man was accused of driving without a valid license after being stopped for traffic violations, including loud exhaust.

The Yorktown Police Department said Scott Keeler, 47, of Putnam Valley, was charged Sunday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and loud exhaust, fail to signal turn and unlicensed operator, all traffic infractions.

Shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday, an officer on patrol on Route 6 said he saw a car that had a loud exhaust and didn't use a turn signal to indicate a lane change.

The car was stopped and police said Keeler had been driving with a suspended license.

Authorities said he had four suspensions on four dates which elevated the charge to second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Keeler was processed at the scene and released on his own recognizance. to appear in Yorktown Justice Court June 23.
