Putnam Man Accused Of Striking Person In The Face

The incident occurred about a month ago, and the court issued a criminal summons.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Putnam County man was accused of striking someone on the face.

The Yorktown Police Department said Michael J. Echeverria, 28, of Patterson, was arrested Wednesday and charged with second-degree harassment, a violation.

Around 11:30 a.m. Oct. 7, police said they responded to an East Main Street location to investigate a past harassment.

Officers found Echeverria struck the victim once in the left side of the face.

A criminal summons was applied for and granted by the Yorktown Justice Court.

On Wednesday, a police officer responded to Strang Boulevard and served Echeverria with a criminal summons and released him on his own recognizance.

He is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Nov. 21.
