Route 202 Lane Closures in Somers to Begin Wednesday
Route 202, between Route 100/Somerstown Road and Route 139/Dale Avenue, will be closed for paving.
The New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) will be conducting alternative lane closures on Route 202, between Route 100/Somerstown Road and Route 139/Dale Avenue for paving.
That will necessitate lane closures during work hours for about a week and a half.
Weather permitting, the closures will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 19 and end on Friday, Sept. 28. Work hours will occur during the nighttime starting at 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., a DOT spokesperson told Patch.

Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through the work area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including work zone signs and flaggers. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.
