Days after Super Storm Sandy slammed into the northeast and most large numbers of Yorktown and Somers residents still do not have electricity, school is still out and many roads remain closed.
We have compiled all of our Sandy recovery and power restoration information here for you to contribute to and check frequently for updates.

Saturday Update
From Somers Supervisor Mary Beth Murphy: "Approximately 65 percent of the Somers remains without power, down from 95 percent. Dry ice will be available at the Middle snd Imtermediate school campus at 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. today. Please come to a full stop at all imtersections where traffic lights arte out and proceed cautiously. Shelter at Heritage Hills Activity Center remains open as does St. Luke's for charging electronics, optimum wifi hot spot and community dinner."
