Santa's Candy Cane Run Set For Yorktown Heights

Officials of the Yorktown Height Volunteer Fire Department are still finalizing the routes that Santa and fire volunteers will be taking.

YORKTOWN, NY — Yorktown kids who are anxious to see Santa — and get a candy cane — only have to wait a little longer.

Officials at the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department said they have been in contact with Santa and have decided that he will be driving through the Yorktown Heights Fire District on Dec. 11, with a rain/snow date of Dec. 18, if necessary.

The jolly old elf will be spreading holiday cheer with the Yorktown Heights volunteer firefighters.

Over the next weeks, the fire department will be going over and altering the candy cane routes. They’ve been collecting data from their members along the routes because new developments have been built and more people have moved into the town.

The routes will be posted on the department’s website and social media pages, including Facebook and Instagram.
