Seat Belt Enforcement: State Police Issue 44 Tickets in Somers
A total of 44 tickets, the majority for failure to wear a seat belt, were issued by state police troopers today.

New York State Police in Somers issued a total of 44 tickets today, the majority for failure to wear a seat belt, police said.
Troopers conducted an Occupant Safety Enforcement Detail on on Route 100 and Route 35 in the town of Somers from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
"This highway safety initiative perpetuates the mission of the State Police to reduce deaths, injuries and property damage caused by motor vehicle accidents through vehicle and traffic enforcement," state police wrote in a statement.
