2. Brian J. Slavin Aquatic Facility Is Open

The Brian J. Slavin Aquatic Facility at Shrub Oak Park is now open and will open until Labor Day weekend (Sept. 3). The pool has a separate diving pool and an interactive pool with water spray features. to read more. 

3. Celebrate the Life of  

There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of on Saturday, June 16 at from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a memorial service by Yorktown Heights Engine Company at 5:30 p.m.

Owens Sr. was a former Yorktown councilman and long-time member of the Yorktown Heights Fire Department. He passed away on May 9, 2012 at the age of 81.
