Somers to Clean Up Roads, Parks in Town Starting Friday
Free orange trash bags and gloves are available at Supervisor Mary Beth Murphy's office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and at the Somers Library.

Somers residents and organizations will be cleaning up the town of Somers beginning today for the annual Roadside Cleanup, which runs until April 22.
The litter clean up efforts coincide with World Circus Day (April 20) and Earth Day (April 22) when resident will clean the roads and parks in town. They will then place the trash in orange bags that will be picked up by the town highway department employees.

"The Town of Somers and the Somers Litter Task Force need your help to Keep Somers Clean," a message of the town of Somers' website read. "Choose a road, park, or school yard to clean, or clean up along your property line and leave the bags at the cleaned up site. Please be sure to sign up so the Highway Department will pick up your bags."
