Acclaimed voice actor Alan Sklar will give a live reading of his favorite short story by Ernest Hemingway called 'The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber' at the Somers Library on Friday, Oct. 18 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
'The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber' has been acclaimed as one of Hemingway's most successful artistic achievements. This is largely due to the ambiguous complexity of its characters and their motivations. The tale was first published in the September 1936 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine
Sklar has been a freelance voice actor for more than 20 years, voicing radio/TV commercials and VNRs, narrating everything from audio books and documentaries to thousands of corporate and medical video projects.
