Memorial Day, May 27 is a holiday for federal, state and local governments and just about everybody else in the United States.
The following are closed on Monday:
- Banks
- Yorktown and Somers town buildings
- Public schools
- Libraries: The John C. Hart Memorial Library and Somers Public Library will be closed on Monday.
- Post offices
- State offices, including Department of Motor Vehicles offices, will be closed on Monday.
- Restaurants
- Grocery stores
- Liquor stores
