Winery Celebrates 100 Years; Most Interesting Town; Operation Phone Home Program
Here are five things you need to know today, May 23.

1. 100th Anniversary Week
is celebrating its 100th anniversary all week.
On Wednesday, you can catch the Elvis Tribute – Click for tickets. Taste the Centennial Blend, which is the Winery's first commercial wine, on Thursday. Reader's Digest is running a contest and there's 9 days left to submit your story about what makes YOUR TOWN interesting. Contest officials said some of the stories Americans have shared so far include descriptions and photos of the most scenic spots in town, famous historical figures from the area and the people, places, and local businesses that make their town one-of-a-kind. 3. Memorial Day Celebrations
Memorial Day is in on Monday. It is a day reserved for remembering those who have served in our Armed Forces and who have died. Yorktown’s ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 28 at the Shrub Oak Honor Roll on East Main Street, followed by the Memorial Day Parade at 11 a.m. in front of Town Hall.

4. Help AOL Donate 1 Million Minutes to USO's Operation Phone Home Program
AOL is helping to create connection, support and opportunity for troops who are deployed. Through June AOL is donating minutes of talk-time to deployed troops.
