Yonkers Man Steals Used Cooking Oil From Mohegan Lake Business: PD
Police said the man had a pump, burglar's tools and two large containers filled with used oil.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Yonkers man was accused of stealing used cooking oil from a Mohegan Lake business.
The Yorktown Police Department said Juan Y. Quiroz, 18, of Yonkers, was charged Wednesday with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, possession of burglar tools, a misdemeanor, and no front plate, a traffic infraction.
Police said, around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, officers were sent to 1859 East Main St. in Mohegan Lake for a report of the theft of used cooking oil by a man who left in a white-colored van.

While responding, one of the officers located a vehicle matching the description at a nearby gas station.
Quiroz was identified as the driver of the van, and police said, he had stolen the cooking oil.

He was in possession of a pump and two large containers containing used cooking oil, according to authorities.
Quiroz was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing.
He was released on his own recognizance and scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court May 12.
