Yorktown Blood Drive Today, More College Grads, MTA Memorial Day Weekend Service
Here are five things you need to know today, May 24.

1. Congrats College Grads
Congratulations to the several Yorktown natives who graduated from Manhattan College on May 20:
- Jenifer Lyn Giordano, B.A. in psychology (Yorktown Heights)
- Patricia Therese Heegle, B.S. in civil engineering (Yorktown Heights)
- Patrick James Porteus, B.A. in sociology (Yorktown Heights)
- Stephen M. Santoro, B.A. in sociology (Yorktown)
Liane Helen Ranagan, daughter of John and Laura Ranagan of Yorktown Heights graduated from Saint Michael's College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish at the college's 105th commencement exercises held on the college campus May 14.

3. Yorktown Blood Drive Today
Yorktown's seventh grade science classes are holding a Blood Drive today as they learn about the human body systems
Also today, the Yorktown High School orchestra concert is today at 7:30 p.m.

5. Metro North Announces Memorial Day Weekend Service
On Friday, May 25, Metro North offers extra early getaway service. On Saturday, May 26, and Sunday, May 27, a regular weekend schedule will be in effect, and on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, trains will operate on a Sunday schedule. For schedules and timetables, click here.
