Yorktown Approves $108.8 Million Budget

Three incumbents to the Board of Education were re-elected.

YORKTOWN, NY — Voters in the Yorktown school district went to the polls Tuesday to vote yes or no on a $108.8 million budget for the 2022-23 school year.

The spending package, which is almost $7 million more than the current year, was approved by an overwhelming number, according to a tweet from Superintendent Ron Hattar.

The unofficial results were 1,628 for the budget and 650 against.

A proposition establishing a capital reserve fund also was approved 1,677 to 578.

There were also six people running for three trustee positions. The winners were incumbents Reshmi Bose, Cheryl Reynolds and Lisa Rolle. Also on the ballot were Michael Capalbo, Richard Giannasca and Frank Panebianco.
