Yorktown Cops: Man Charged with DWI Following Car Crash

A 46-year-old Ossining man is facing a number of criminal charges, including drunk driving, following a car accident on Croton Heights Road, police said.

A 46-year-old Ossining man is facing a number of criminal charges, including drunk driving, Yorktown police said.

Police were dispatched to the car crash on Route 118 on April 4 at around 8:15 p.m. Police said Jose Tenecota's vehicle left the roadway and struck the embankment. Following an investigation, police determined the man was drunk and his driver’s license was expired and suspended.

Tenecota was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor; having a blood alcohol content of .08% or more, a misdemeanor; third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; failure to maintain lane, a traffic infraction; and unlicensed operator; a traffic infraction.

The man was released to a family member on $100 bail. He was scheduled t o appear in Yorktown Town Court on May 7.
