Yorktown Cops: Man Steals $1,200 Worth of Ink Cartridges from Staples

A Bronx man is due in court next week to answer charges that he stole 12 ink cartridges, worth $100 each, from Staples in Yorktown, police said.

Arthur Richardson, 52, was able to run out of the store located at 3333 Crompond Road on July 21, police said. With the assistance of the Bedford Police Department, the man was identified as the suspect and an arrest warrant was issued.

Richardson was transported to Yorktown Town Court from the Westchester County Jail where he was held on unrelated charges on Aug. 27.

He was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony. He was then remanded back to jail without bail, police said.

The man was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Sept. 12.
