A 19-year-old Yorktown man, who is already facing criminal charges for being in possession of stolen items, is facing additional charges, Yorktown police said.
Police said they received a report on June 17 from a Hayes Drive resident that an unidentified man and woman were stealing items from parked a vehicle.
When the suspect's vehicle was stopped, police revealed Robert D. Reichert and a 17-year-old Mahopac female, whose name police did not release, were in possession of stolen prescription medication, golf clubs and a satellite radio which were taken from homes in the area.
Both Reichart and the 17-year-old female were arrested at the scene and transported to police headquarters. They were each charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, petty larceny and four counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of a stolen property, all misdemeanors.
The female was released on $200 bail. Reichert was released on his own recognizance. Both parties are scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on July 18.
