Yorktown Cops: Peekskill Boy, 15, Makes Bomb Threat at BOCES

Police said the student was heard saying he had put bombs in trash cans on the school grounds.

A 15-year-old Peekskill resident, who is a student at BOCES' Fox Meadow Campus in Yorktown, was arrested on Tuesday for reportedly saying he had placed a bomb in school, Yorktown police said.

Police responded to the school after they received a phone call from a staff member who heard the student making "verbal threats that he put bombs in trash cans on the school grounds," police said.

The teen, whose name police did not release, was charged with juvenile delinquency. Had he been charged as an adult, he would have been charged with a felony second-degree falsely reporting an incident.
