A Yorktown Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) employee is facing criminal charges for inappropriately touching a driver – a Hawthorne resident – during a driver's license road test, Yorktown police said.
Police said the DMV worker – a 55-year-old Hempstead resident – touched the intimate parts of the driver twice without consent during the road test on Sept. 3.
The man was arrested on Sept. 11 when he voluntarily appeared at police headquarters. He was charged with forcible touching, a misdemeanor; and released on his own recognizance.
Police did not indicate the gender or the age of the victim.
The man was issued an order of protection on behalf of the victim and he was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Sept. 24.
