A 17-year-old Yorktown teen has been charged with drunk driving after police discovered her damaged vehicle, Yorktown police said
The girl, whose name police did not release due to her eligibility for youthful offender status, was arrested on Sept. 28. She charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more, both misdemeanors; as well as speed not "reasonable and prudent" and failure to use designated lane, both traffic infractions.
Police officer Grieve located a property damage auto accident on East Mohansic Avenue on Sept. 28, police said. Investigation at the scene revealed the teen was allegedly intoxicated.
