- The New York League of Conservation Voters Education Fund and Pace Law School are hosting the 2013 Westchester County Executive Forum on Sustainability. - Our Montessori School of Yorktown and Carmel is hosting an Open House on Tuesday from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the school, which is located at the Yorktown United Methodist Church. Meet the teachers, see the equipment and enjoy the refreshments.
- Yorktown's Support Connection is hosting a knitting circle for women with cancer on Wednesday a 40 Triangle Center. Knitting circles offer women a place to gather around a common interest. In this monthly group for women with cancer, Support Connection provides the time and space for women to begin or finish a knitting or crocheting project.
- The Boxwood Alliance is sponsoring a Health Fair for senior citizens and their adult children at the Somers Library on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. More details here.
- Daniel J. Mancini, MA, Ed.M., Cognitive Remediation Specialist, will speak to seniors, persons with memory impairment and their caregivers about "Brain Health & Cognitive Remediation: Truths & Myths." The event will be held at the Somers Library at 6 p.m.
- Do you want to be a part of the Girl Scouts? The Yorktown Girl Scout 2013 Registration Night will be held on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the Grange Fair Building, 99 Moseman Road, in Yorktown.
