Yorktown Man Accused Of Drunken Driving After Car Crash On Lawn

Police said the man was determined to have a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more.

YORKTOWN, NY — A car crash that ended up on someone's front lawn led to an accusation of drunken driving for a Yorktown man.

The Yorktown Police Department said Anthony Farroni, 47, of Yorktown, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent of more and driving while intoxicated first offense, misdemeanors, and fail to maintain lane and speed not reasonable or prudent, traffic infractions.

Police said officers were sent around 8:30 p.m. Sunday to check out a single-vehicle car accident involving a car that crashed on someone's front lawn.

Farroni was identified as the driver and sole occupant of the car.

Police said the investigation found he didn't stay in his lane and was going faster than was reasonable for the conditions.

He was also found to be intoxicated, according to authorities.

While Farroni was being processed, it was determined to have a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more, police said.

He was issued traffic tickets and released on his own recognizance to a responsible adult.

Farroni is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court May 26.
