Yorktown Man Charged With DWI Following Car Crash

The following information was provided by the Yorktown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 31-year-old Yorktown man is accused of driving drunk after he crashed his car on Hanover Street earlier this month, said.

Daryl D. Rushing was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, both misdemeanors. Additionally, the defendant was charged with failure to maintain a traffic lane and failure to wear a seat-belt, traffic infractions.

Police were dispatched to the one-car traffic accident on Hanover Street on May 6 at about 4:40 a.m. The defendant was arrested, processed at police headquarters and released to a family member on $100 bail.
