Yorktown Man Drives ATV Into Another Person: Police
When police got to the scene, they said they found a man with a severe leg injury as well as injuries to his head and chest.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown man was accused of driving an ATV into another person causing severe injuries.
The Yorktown Police Department said Kyle Frankild, 21, of Yorktown, was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree assault, a felony.
Police said, around 2:45 p.m. Sunday, officers were sent to Hunterbrook Ballfield to investigate a man struck by an ATV and reported to be unconscious.

When officers got there they said they found a man with a severe leg injury as well as injuries to his head and chest.
An officer and a member of the Mohegan Fire Department applied a tourniquet to the man’s leg and rendered other aid.

The man was taken to the Westchester Medical Center by Advanced Life Support.
An investigation at the scene found that Frankild drove an ATV on the ballfield and intentionally drove it into the victim at a high rate of speed causing serious physical injuries to the male victim, police said.
Frankild also fled from the scene to a residence off Route 202, according to authorities.
He sustained injuries to his face during the impact and was taken to Westchester Medical Center by AMR Response Ambulance.
The Yorktown Police Department conducted an investigation with the assistance of the department’s Accident Investigation Team and the Westchester County Police Department Accident Investigation Team.
On Monday, an arrest warrant was filed with the Yorktown Justice Court and approved for the arrest of Frankild for felony first-degree assault.
He was arrested at the Westchester Medical Center around 7:40 p.m. Monday and remains in the custody of the Yorktown police pending arraignment at a future date.
Police said the case is still an ongoing investigation by the detective division.
