Yorktown PD to Host Prescription Give-Back Day
Residents can drop of their unwanted/expired prescription drugs at the police station on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Yorktown Police Department will participate in the National Drug Enforcement Administration Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Residents will have the chance to bring their unwanted or expired prescription drugs to the police department and deposit them in a receptacle located in the lobby.
"This is a great opportunity for those who missed the previous events, or who have subsequently accumulated unwanted, unused prescription drugs, to safely dispose of those medications," police officials said in a statement.

ln the five previous Take-Back events, DEA in conjunction with our state, local, and tribal law enforcement partners have collected more than 2 million pounds (1,018 tons) of prescription medications were removed from circulation, police said.
"The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, Convenient, responsible means of disposal of these medications," officials said in the statement.
