Yorktown Police Warn Of Veterans Day Parade Road Closings

SHRUB OAK, NY — The Yorktown Police Department wants motorists to know that Sunday there will be road closings to accommodate the Yorktown Veterans Day parade and ceremony.

The parade will start at 2 p.m. at Lakeland High School and continue on East Main Street to the John C. Hart Memorial Library grounds where there will be a ceremony at the Shrub Oak Veterans Monument.

The Yorktown Police Department said the following roadways will be closed temporarily to accommodate the event:

1. East Main Street from Lakeland High School to Sunnyside Street.
2. Stoney Street at East Main Street.
3. Stonegate Road at East Main Street.
4. New Road (east end) at East Main Street.
5. Dane Street at East Main Street.
6. Frost Road at East Main Street.
