Yorktown Receives Clean Energy Grant

The money comes from a program that helps to promote solar, clean heating/cooling and energy efficiency in the community.

YORKTOWN, NY — Yorktown will receive a state grant in recognition of the town's successful clean energy promotion.

The $5,000 action grant is because of Yorktown's participation in NYSERDA's Clean Energy Communities program which helps to promote solar, clean heating/cooling and energy efficiency in the community.

Supervisor Matt Slater said the town board and volunteers are serious about leaving future generations a healthy and sustainable environment.
