Yorktown School Budget Results Announced
Yorktown district voters were asked to approve a $115.7 million spending package.
YORKTOWN, NY — Voters in the Yorktown school district went to the polls Tuesday to decide whether to approve the 2023-24 budget.
The proposed spending plan of $115.7 million was handily approved 1,151 to 289, according to unofficial results from a district spokesperson.
The approved budget is 6.3 percent higher than the current budget. District officials said they were focused on the addition of teachers and teaching assistants to support student needs and district programs in general.

The tax levy is expected to rise just 2.43 percent, which is below the state's tax cap.
District voters were asked to choose up to two candidates for the Board of Education. The winning candidates are incumbent Michael Magnani and Catalina Tyndal.
