Yorktown, Somers Primaries: Unofficial Results

Unofficial results for races in the town of Yorktown and Town of Somers were as follows Wednesday morning, according to the Board of Elections website.

Yorktown Highway Superintendent (Democratic ticket)

  • Virgil T. Borrelli – 184 votes, 18 percent
  • Thomas P. Diana – 424 votes, 42 percent
  • Stephen Gardner – 390 votes, 39 percent
Yorktown Highway Superintendent (Conservative line)
  • Dave Paganelli – 77 votes
Yorktown Highway Superintendent (Republican ticket)
  • Ray Nikisher – 167 votes, 16 percent
  • Dave Paganelli – 510 votes, 47 percent
  • Gregory M. Bernard – 406 votes, 37 percent
Yorktown Highway Superintendent (Independence ticket)
  • Thomas P. Diana – 76 votes
Yorktown Supervisor (Conservative ticket)
  • Nicholas Bianco – 122 votes
Yorktown Supervisor (Independence ticket)
  • Nicholas Bianco – 103 votes
Yorktown Town Board (Conservative line, vote for two)
  • Terrence Murphy – 121 votes, 54 percent
  • Richard Campanaro – 103 votes, 46 percent
Yorktown Town Board (Independence line, vote for two)
  • Vishnubhai V. Patel – 109 votes, 56 percent
  • Richard Campanero – 87 votes, 44 percent
Editor's Note: The results for the write-in campaigns were not yet available. For Town Board Terrence Murphy ran as a write-in candidate for the Independence Party Line. Dorothy Forcina also ran as a write-in candidate for the Independence Party Line, as well as the Conservative line. For the Highway Superintendent race, Greg Bernard ran as a write-in candidate for the Conservative and Independence lines. For the Supervisor race, incumbent Michael Grace ran for the Conservative and Independence lines.
