According to a news release, the War on Terror Memorial commemorates military service members who have defended the United States in ongoing international counterterrorism military campaigns since the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. The ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Patriot Park, 363 Underhill Ave. in Yorktown Heights.
