Yorktown Woman Accused Of Having Cocaine

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown woman was accused of having illegal drugs after her home was searched.

The Yorktown Police Department said Amanda Crothers, 29, of Yorktown, was charged Thursday with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.

Police said officers executed a search warrant at her residence in January and found three glass jars containing cocaine in her purse.

Crothers appeared Thursday at the Yorktown Police Department and was placed under arrest.

She was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court and was released on her own recognizance to reappear Oct. 20.
