Announcing Blueridge Landing, Windsor Run's Final Residence Building

Barbara Malady, one of the community's first residents, looks forward to welcoming more than 100 new neighbors to Blueridge Landing

Windsor Run, an Erickson Senior Living community in Matthews, N.C., recently announced the construction of its final residence building, Blueridge Landing!

Blueridge Landing, scheduled to open in spring 2026, will bring 97 brand-new homes to the popular community.

"When we welcomed our first residents in 2018, our goal was to meet the tremendous demand for the vibrant Erickson Senior Living lifestyle in this region. We've continued to do just that," says Executive Director Michael Wehrle. "Over the last seven years, we've constructed nine residence buildings, two clubhouses, and a continuing care neighborhood."

He continues, "This is an exciting time for Windsor Run. With the opening of Blueridge Landing, we finalize construction and usher in a new phase--one of an established and thriving community!"

The new residences in Blueridge Landing will feature open, airy layouts; modern kitchens with granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances; full-size, side-by-side washers and dryers; walk-in closets; and updated flooring and light fixtures.

Many homes will also include patios, bay windows, and screened porches.

"We listened carefully to what our current residents and Priority List members enjoy most about the homes already on campus," says Sales Director Ryan Barkley. "As a result, Blueridge Landing will offer our most popular floor plans, including the one-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath Cary and the large two-bedroom, two-bath Washington and Madison designs."

The Cary has an open floor plan with lots of windows, a large kitchen, and a separate dining area, perfect for enjoying a home-cooked meal.

The Washington boasts a spacious living area and a sunroom directly off the kitchen. The design also features a screened porch, which provides lots of natural light and overlooks Windsor Run's immaculately kept grounds.

The Madison floor plan includes a porch; an airy living area; a primary bedroom with a large walk-in closet; and a spacious second bedroom, which could serve as a home office, TV room, or craft space.

Blueridge Landing will also introduce a brand-new floor plan: the two-bedroom, two-bath Monroe. This design features an extra-large living room that opens to a porch and bedrooms located on opposite sides of the home.

Everyone is welcome

With hundreds of people moving to Windsor Run this year and well into 2026, current residents are happily extending a helping hand.

Barbara Malady, one of Windsor Run's first residents, is excited to welcome new neighbors and make more friends.

"I enjoy meeting new people. Over the years, we've welcomed neighbors from many different places, each bringing new experiences and insights to share," she says.

"Windsor Run has also been wonderful about adding to our amenities and experiences. We enjoy new restaurants with varied menus and have seen the addition of a beautiful new walking trail."

In fact, Blueridge Landing will bring an on-site CVS® Pharmacy and a zen garden to the community.

Come visit!

If you're considering a move to Windsor Run, Barbara advises visiting the community as often as possible and attending a variety of events.

"The sales team does a really good job at sharing a lot of information," she says. "If you come to a variety of events, you'll learn different things--from dining to community activities. There's even programs focusing on the different parts of moving, like planning ahead and downsizing."

Barbara adds, "The most important thing to know is that you don't need to do it alone! Windsor Run has a [moving] system in place, and it is very, very helpful."

Barkley agrees with Barbara and even suggests joining the Priority List. Priority List members were the first to receive notice of Blueridge Landing's construction, and the response has been swift.

"We anticipate Blueridge Landing to completely sell out early next year," says Barkley. "Since announcing its arrival on the Priority List, almost half of the new homes are now reserved."

Because members can save a spot in line for their desired floor plan, Barkley recommends joining sooner rather than later. "If you're thinking about moving to Windsor Run, this is your sign to join!" he says.

A vibrant lifestyle

"Word of mouth is a powerful force. Our residents love living here, and they continue to spread the word among family and friends," notes Wehrle.

"We're excited to welcome even more retirees to Windsor Run. We will continue to offer the vibrant, worry-free lifestyle that residents love and enjoy."
