Trial Delayed: Happy New Year to Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Sinclair
Fort Bragg's two-star general's court-martial trial delayed

The trial in the case of U.S. v. Brig. Gen. Jeffrey A. Sinclair, originally scheduled to begin Sept. 30, 2013, has been postponed, again for a second time. Based on a motion filed by the defense, the military judge Col. James Pohl has ordered the trial to be delayed until Jan.7, 2014.
The female captain at the center of the case admitted that she carried on a three-year tryst with Sinclair. Adultery is a crime under military law.  Explicit text trails and email traffic show the relationship was consensual, but the captain is claiming sexual assault for two instances where she felt forced to perform oral sex against her will.
