Lisa and Craig Marshall first tasted Nothing Bundt Cakes when visiting a friend in Colorado. They were immediately hooked and, with the nearest bakery of its kind nearly an hour and a half away in Raleigh, they were convinced there needed to be one in Greenville. “We moved to Greenville six years ago and have been driving to Raleigh to get our favorite cakes for our birthdays,” explained Lisa. “On my last birthday, it occurred to us that Greenville would be a perfect place for a bakery, and the rest is history!” As a faculty member at East Carolina University, Craig quickly formed connections with their move to Greenville, but Lisa was still searching for a way to get more entrenched in the community. “Moving to a new part of the country, I found it a little challenging to get plugged in, but this venture has made me feel like Greenville is home. Everyone has been so supportive and, by celebrating our community’s joys, big and small, we will make a difference in our neighbors’ lives.” The bakery will celebrate with a ribbon cutting, benefit day and community event late-October (see details below).
