Police: Greenville man broke into ECU fraternity, stole sword and Jesus statue (wcti12.com) — A 20-year-old Greenville resident has been charged with felony second-degree burglary after police say he broke into an ECU-area fraternity house on West 5th Street and stole several items, including a ceremonial sword and a religious statue. Officers detained the suspect on East 8th Street shortly after midnight Monday, and his bond was set at $100,000 secured.

Mayor Connelly pushes for solution to crosswalk safety at busy Greenville spot (wcti12.com) — City leaders are weighing safety upgrades at the busy 10th Street and College Hill Drive crosswalk near ECU after a student was hit by a car. ECU Football loses both coordinators, OC John David Baker & DC Josh Aldridge (witn.com) — East Carolina’s football program in Greenville is losing both its offensive and defensive coordinators just weeks before the Military Bowl, with John David Baker heading to Ole Miss and Josh Aldridge to South Florida. The departures raise questions about who will lead the Pirates in Annapolis and which players might follow the coaches through the transfer portal in January.
