With hundreds of parcels already on his route, he stresses mailing early so items move smoothly through the network and arrive on time.
   

2. 3,000 Christmas gifts distributed to children across Raleigh (cbs17.com) — Families at Orchard Pointe Apartments and 15 other Raleigh locations are receiving toys and groceries through a massive Christmas Adopt-A-Block Toy Giveaway. Federal court orders FEMA to restore $200 million in stormwater protections to NC (myfox8.com) — A federal court has ordered FEMA to restore more than $200 million in disaster-preparation funding that North Carolina, based in part out of Raleigh, had been promised. The reinstated grants will support stormwater, water, and sewer infrastructure projects across several towns, including pump station relocations and drainage improvements, aimed at keeping critical services running during future floods and storms.

Three new film productions shot in North Carolina bring $133 million, nearly 5,000 jobs to the state (myfox8.com) — Raleigh-based state officials say three new film projects will pump more than $113 million in spending and nearly 5,000 jobs into North Carolina, underscoring the capital’s role in steering the state’s film grant program. While filming is centered around Lake Norman, Wilmington, and several Piedmont counties, the economic boost and policy decisions are being coordinated from Raleigh.
