Fargo traffic stop nets package theft suspect, fentanyl, stolen credit cards (valleynewslive.com) — Fargo police say a Dec. 8 traffic stop on Fiechtner Drive led to three arrests, fentanyl and paraphernalia seizures, and recovery of stolen credit cards and a key fob tied to a stolen vehicle. One passenger is also suspected in north Fargo package thefts, and additional charges are under review by the Cass County State’s Attorney.
   

2. Fargo woman seeks answers after hit-and-run crash (valleynewslive.com) — Fargo police are asking for help after a woman’s parked car was hit in a November hit-and-run on the 1300 block of Broadway North, leaving her anxious the driver is still at large. Investigators say they’re struggling to identify the vehicle and driver, and anyone with information is urged to contact Fargo Police.
   

3. White House Shrimp (thefmextra.com) — A Fargo home cook is sharing his go-to “White House Shrimp” appetizer, a marinated shrimp dish he says dates back to the Kennedy era. If you’re planning a Christmas or holiday spread in Fargo, this easy overnight recipe could be a crowd-pleasing local favorite.
   

4. Fargo business owner under fire for use of 'r-word' on social media (valleynewslive.com) — A Fargo business owner is drawing criticism after resharing social media posts that used a disability slur aimed at Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, prompting concern from local advocates. Leaders at Fargo’s GiGi’s Playhouse say the language is hurtful to people with Down syndrome and are calling for an apology and more responsible behavior from community business figures.
   

5. Fargo Theatre selling off seats to make way for new, improved ones (inforum.com) — Fargo movie lovers have a rare chance to own a piece of the historic Fargo Theatre as it sells off old seats through Dec. 30 to prepare for major renovations. The main auditorium will close in January and February for new seating and building upgrades, while the second screen keeps showing films, so plan ahead if you’re gifting or catching a movie downtown.
