1. Fargo Theatre selling seats to raise money for restoration project (jackfmfargo.com) — Fargo residents can literally take home a piece of the historic Fargo Theatre as old seats from Theater 1 are being sold in pairs to fund a major restoration. With pre-orders open through Dec. 30 and new, more comfortable and ADA-compliant seats coming in early 2026, the project is backed by a $500,000 state tourism grant.
   

2. Fargo residents search for missing garbage cans after blizzard (valleynewslive.com) — High winds in Fargo have blown garbage cans into ditches and fields, disrupting trash pickup across the city and the wider Fargo-Moorhead area. City crews are actively collecting and matching stray bins to addresses, and residents can get lost cans replaced for free by calling the Solid Waste Department. Officials also urge you to keep cans at the curb by 8 a.m. on pickup days, even during severe weather.
   

3. Fargo Police Department asks for new drone, technology contract (inforum.com) — Fargo’s Police Department is asking the City Commission to approve a 10-year, $13 million Axon contract that would add drones, body cameras and updated Tasers to local policing. Commissioners will review the proposal at City Hall on Monday, Dec. 22, potentially launching a “drone as first responder” program to reach Fargo incidents before officers arrive. Residents may see expanded aerial and video technology if it passes.
   

4. What's going up in your neighborhood? Building permits published Dec. 20, 2025 (inforum.com) — A fresh batch of building permits details new construction and remodels across Fargo, including residential projects, school-related work at North High, and new commercial space on 51st Street South. West Fargo and Moorhead also see significant remodels and new homes, signaling ongoing growth around the metro.
   

5. Prep boys hockey roundup: Brody Parmer's overtime goal lifts Davies past Shanley (inforum.com) — Fargo hockey fans saw a thriller as Fargo Davies fired 10 overtime shots before Brody Parmer buried the game-winner to edge Shanley 3-2 in East Region boys play. The roundup also highlights Moorhead’s big win over Andover and West Fargo Sheyenne’s comeback victory over Fargo North, showcasing a busy night on local rinks.
