Man pleads guilty for Fargo Wells Fargo bank robbery (am1100theflag.com) — A man has pleaded guilty in federal court to robbing the Wells Fargo bank on Main Avenue in downtown Fargo this August, where tellers handed over more than $10,000. He now faces up to 20 years in prison, a large fine, and supervised release, with sentencing still to be scheduled.
   

2. Fargo sees 10% drop in serious crime, but shoplifting surges (valleynewslive.com) — Fargo’s serious crime is down 10% this year, with big drops in shootings, burglaries, and thefts from vehicles, but shoplifting is surging, especially at a few major retailers. Police credit new technology and more traffic stops, yet warn that many stolen cars were left unlocked or running. Residents are urged to lock vehicles, remove keys, and keep reporting crimes to help catch repeat offenders.
   

3. Homeward Animal Shelter in Fargo has pawsome year with record number of pet adoptions (inforum.com) — Homeward Animal Shelter in north Fargo just hit a record 1,500 pet adoptions this year and is still bursting at the seams. With only nine dog kennels and space for 45 animals on-site, the nonprofit has bought land near the North Dakota Horse Park and is fundraising $15 million for a much larger facility that could open in 2027.
   

4. Force Report: Alex Löftgren ends first half on a heater (inforum.com) — Fargo hockey fans will see a red-hot Axel Löftgren return from Sweden after a standout first half that earned him USHL player-of-the-week honors. The Fargo Force defenseman has surged offensively in recent games and helped keep the team near the top of the Western Conference. He’ll rejoin a squad heading into a key road swing against Sioux Falls and Sioux City.
   

5. A true story of sacrifice: North Dakota film ‘Hazel's Heart' begins streaming on major platforms (grandforksherald.com) — A new film about North Dakota heroine Hazel Miner is now streaming on major platforms, and it’s being highlighted from right here in Fargo. Shot largely in-state with local cast and crew, “Hazel’s Heart” retells the teen’s life-saving sacrifice during a 1920 blizzard near Center, N.D., and includes appearances by her own descendants.
