He, along with three other JVS Heating and Air Conditioning students competed in the event.

Jaeger Shaffstall (Elyria) took third place in electrical troubleshooting, Seth Harrah (Elyria) took third place in sheet metal and Alexander Ladina (Oberlin) took first place in brazing and third place in soft skills.
The JVS HVAC program placed first overall in the contest with the highest average score out of eight schools.
