Great River Connections Academy Recognizes Cincinnati Students

Student of the Month Award recognizes achievements in and out of the virtual classroom

Patrick Johnson and Vada Pieper, of Cincinnati, were among the students recently recognized by Great River Connections Academy (GRCA) as Students of the Month. The award recognizes outstanding academic achievement and leadership in the statewide public online school.

“Our students of the month demonstrate leadership and an extraordinary commitment to learning while serving as strong role models for their peers,” said Jason Swinehart, Principal at Great River Connections Academy. “The members of our faculty and staff are proud to give these virtual classroom leaders the recognition they deserve.”

Vada is a freshman at the Great River Connections Academy. She came to the online school last year following the referral from a friend and she says it turned out to be a good decision. She said the teachers have been very helpful when she needs help, and they are very patient with her.
