Here are the top three stories today in Cincinnati:
- The weather forecast for today predicts on-and-off snow showers in the Cincinnati area. There could be an additional snow coating of up to a half inch. This weekend it is supposed to warm up a little, with highs in the upper 40s and rain showers expected on Sunday. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- Some believe a youth mental health crisis in the Cincinnati area reflects a nationwide mental health crisis. On Jan. 18, the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center posted an alert warning people that there is a “high volume” of young patients presenting with mental health concerns in the emergency departments of multiple campuses. Dr. Courtney Cinko, Cincinnati Children’s medical director of emergency psychiatry, said there is an extensive range of mental health crises, including worsening depression, anxiety, unsafe behaviors toward others, and suicidal ideation. - Bockfest 2023, the 31st annual festival celebrating Cincinnati's brewing heritage and all things bock beer, will return to Cincinnati from Mar. 3 through 5! Admission to the parade and entertainment at official venues, including Bockfest Hall at Findlay Playground, is free. Events include the parade, beer games, a 5k, historical programming, and happy hour. (Subscription: The Cincinnati Enquirer)
