Spectrum today announced it has begun deployment of its new next-generation Advanced WiFi 7 routers, designed to provide Spectrum’s residential and business Internet customers with unprecedented speed, connectivity, and performance. "With the introduction of our WiFi 7 routers, Spectrum continues to lead the way in bringing cutting-edge technology to our customers," said Danny Bowman, Executive Vice President, Product, Charter Communications. "These new routers are designed to support the ever-increasing number of connected devices in homes and businesses, delivering faster speeds, lower latency, and greater capacity to handle the most demanding digital activities. Additionally, WiFi 7’s ability to support multi-gigabit speeds ensures our routers will be ready for future Spectrum innovation."

WiFi 7 utilizes additional spectrum capacity in the 6 GHz band to enable high-bandwidth, next-generation applications that require faster data throughput and lower-latency connectivity. Building upon previous WiFi technology, WiFi 7 provides fast, reliable and responsive connectivity in addition to enhanced network management, device control, security and router capabilities.
