- Cincinnati police are investigating reports that a substitute teacher at Roll Hill Elementary School injured a student on Tuesday. The alleged physical assault of the fifth-grade boy occurred around breakfast time, and the boy's homeroom teacher witnessed the assault and stepped in. As of Thursday afternoon, the investigation was ongoing, and no charges had been filed. The mother of the student said he is wearing a neck brace due to the incident. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- According to data released Thursday, Cincinnati's streetcar system saw a record-breaking year in 2023. A total of 846,622 people rode the rail loop through Downtown and Over-the-Rhine in 2022, compared to the city's first year the rail was operating in 2017, where the number was 571,601. - Cincinnati police are searching for 14-year-old Illany Jackson, who has a history of running away. Jackson left her Northside home on Jan. 25 when she went to school and did not return. She was last seen wearing a beige coat, black shirt, white Mickey Mouse pants, black boots, and had a gray Adidas book bag. - Good news for burger enthusiasts: A four-day celebration for "Halfway to Burger Week" will take place Feb. 13-16, where seven-dollar burger specials will be available at several participating Cincinnati-area eateries.
