Cleveland Bridge Closing In January, See The Detour

Center Street bridge will close in January and will stay closed for most of 2022.

CLEVELAND — Center Street bridge in Cleveland will be closed starting the first full week of January.

The bridge stretches over the Cuyahoga River. It will be closed between Merwin Avenue and Riverbed Street starting Jan. 3, 2022 at 7 a.m. It will remain closed through October 2022.

The Ohio Department of Transportation said the entire project should be finished in November 2022. Crews will be doing bridge rehabilitation during that tie.

Drivers who make use of the bridge will be detoured along Main Avenue to W. 25th Street to Columbus Road.
