Cleveland Browns DE Myles Garrett Out Of Hospital After Crash

Garrett's injuries are not life-threatening, according to police.

CLEVELAND, OHIO — Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett has been released from the hospital, according to reports, after he was involved in a car crash Monday.

Troopers responded to the scene just before 3 p.m., according to police, who said Garrett was driving a Porsche south on State Road in Sharon Township near Cleveland when he veered right and the vehicle overturned in the area of Ridgewood Road.

Garrett, 26, swerved on a wet road to avoid an animal and overcorrected, according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network. Police said they did not suspect impairment, and both Garrett and a female passenger were wearing seatbelts.

Garrett and his passenger were taken to an area hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening, according to police. His agent, Nicole Lynn, said Monday he was alert and responsive. He was discharged Monday night, according to Pelissero.

The crash happened after Garrett left the team’s training facility in Berea, ESPN reported, adding Garrett did not have any broken bones.
